Anonymity is our Base Principle.
After years of research, WHO and AMA declared Alcoholism as world’s 3rd ranked killer disease. Alcoholism can not be cured but can be treated. There are various ways to stop consuming Alcohol but Freedom from Alcohol is more easily possible with Alco-Spiritual way.
Alcoholism.. Not Curse or Sin or Pre-birth Karma. Alcoholism is a Disease.
Alcoholism
approx 12 % of alcohol consumers become an Alcoholic.
Three layer Disease : Physical, Psychological & Spiritual
Physical Reaction
This refers to the body’s reaction to alcohol, which can include physical cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
The sort of allergy that a person suffering from alcoholism can be explained as a “phenomenon of craving.” Dr. William D. Silkworth, in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, explains, “We believe, and so suggested a few years ago, that the action of alcohol on these chronic alcoholics is a manifestation of an allergy; that the phenomenon of craving is limited to this class and never occurs in the average temperate drinker. These allergic types can never safely use alcohol in any form.
This compulsion develops very early in addiction, long before observable symptoms of physical dependence.
Psychological Obsession
Uncontrollable Urge: The mental obsession is the intense, often overwhelming, urge to drink, even when the alcoholic knows it’s harmful.
Overriding Thoughts: This obsession can take over the alcoholic’s thoughts, making them unable to resist the urge to drink, even when faced with strong reasons not to.
Perception Distortion: The alcoholic’s perception can become distorted, leading them to believe that alcohol is a solution to their problems or that they can control their drinking, despite evidence to the contrary.
“No Effective Mental Defense”: AA literature describes the alcoholic as having “no effective mental defense against the first drink” at certain times, highlighting the power of the obsession.
Spiritual Bankruptcy
Spiritual bankruptcy, as described in AA’s “Big Book,” is a feeling of emptiness, a lack of meaning, and a disconnection from oneself and a higher power.
This state often arises from unaddressed trauma, unresolved emotional issues, or a lack of spiritual grounding, leading individuals to seek temporary relief through Alcohol.
Alcoholism can be seen as a symptom of this underlying spiritual emptiness, as individuals turn to Alcohol to fill the void and escape the feelings of meaninglessness.
AA’s Big Book uses examples like feeling lost, having no purpose, or lacking a sense of connection to others as signs of spiritual bankruptcy.
Rock-Bottom Hit
In Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), “rock bottom” refers to the point where an individual’s life in active Alcoholism becomes so unbearable that they are finally motivated to seek recovery, often after experiencing significant losses.
There are external and internal consequences:
1) External : Losing a job | Over drinking or having a medical emergency as the result of drinking | Becoming homeless | Losing important relationships | Becoming financially destitute | Legal consequences such as being arrested
2) Internal : Knowing the dependency on alcohol and wanting something more from life | Feeling disconnected from those around us | Being unable to be fully present for loved ones | Having a poor self-image or depression as the result of drinking

Alcoholism
World's Fastest Growing Killer Disease

Please refer time to time related information through declarations of
AMA, WHO, AA and related institutions/organization.
Alcoholism... Declared as a Disease_
The largest association of physicians – the American Medical Association (AMA) – declared that alcoholism was an illness in 1956.
In 1991, the AMA further endorsed the dual classification of alcoholism by the International Classification of Diseases under both psychiatric and medical sections.
The World Health Organization(WHO) recognizes alcohol dependence as a disease. Alcohol consumption is linked to over 200 health conditions, including liver diseases, road injuries, violence, cancers, cardiovascular diseases, suicides, tuberculosis, and HIV/AIDS.
Alcoholism... Cunning Baffling Powerful Disease_
Alcoholics Anonymous – AA (estd 1935) states…
While there is no formal “A.A. definition” of alcoholism, the majority of our members agree that, for most of us, it could be described as a physical compulsion, coupled with a mental obsession.
What we mean is that we had a distinct physical desire to consume alcohol beyond our capacity to control it, in defiance of all rules of common sense. We not only had an abnormal craving for alcohol but we frequently yielded to it at the worst possible times. We did not know when (or how) to stop drinking. Often we did not seem to have sense enough to know when not to begin.
Alcoholism... a Family Disease_
Alcoholics Anonymous views alcoholism as a family disease because an individual’s alcohol addiction profoundly impacts the entire family system, creating a ripple effect of problems that affect everyone involved, not just the person struggling with alcohol.
Alcoholism creates a stressful environment within the family, leading to conflict, strained relationships, and emotional challenges for all members.
Children of alcoholics are at a higher risk of developing substance abuse problems, behavioural issues, and mental health concerns.
AA emphasizes the importance of family involvement in the alcoholic’s recovery, recognizing that a healthy family environment is crucial for long-term sobriety.

Myself Sonu Naayak
and I am Your Spiritual Counsellor.
I am a High Honor Vocal Music Trainer. I am a Top Ranker Singer. I am a Center Director to one of the Govt. of India approved Educational Institution established in 1932. I am student of Psychology. I am a student of Spiritual Sciences.
Previously, by profession I was a Graphic Designer. I was a Vocal Music Teacher. I was a Professional Singer. I was an Event Designer.
Today, I work in the field I am suppose to work. I am an Author. I am an Orator. I am a Mentor. I chose the field of Spiritual Services as my Profession, because I realized it as my Calling.
Why?
Do You know? It was very embarrassing for me to share the real story of the suffering I have faced in my life. Who would like to declare openly that, one of the family member is an Alcoholic?
I also did not have that courage. But Family is First, I believe. So I had to decide whether to hate and abandon an Alcoholic member of my family; or to help him to get Freedom from Alcohol.
I chose other one. I explored a lot. I worked hard. I took efforts to know exactly what is happening to my beloved family member. I kept my mind open to learn the truth. I kept myself walking the path of enlightenment. It took a lot of patience, tolerance and Love to keep going on.
And the day arrived, which gave me the light of realization, reason for my life to live and the Divine Purpose of all that happened to make me, my family and an Alcoholic Member suffer.
Now I had to fulfil the Divine Purpose of my life. I started working on myself and helping others.
How?
